Hans Christian Anderson was born in Denmark in 1805.He was the son of a poor shoemaker.His father died when he was only 11 years old.He attended the city school for poor children.When he was 14 years old,he left home looking for a job and he nearly starved with out money to buy food.
Later he god a Royal Scholarship to study.He wrote 168 fairy tales and folk tails.Thesse books have been read all over the world.THey are simple,homourous stories.some of tales are:The Tinder Box,Little Claus and big Claus,The Traveling companion.The Emperor’s New Clothes is very popular among children and adults.He died in 1875.
